PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which a coating film of good finish appearance can be formed even when a coating is performed by a bell type rotary atomizing coater with a small discharge quantity of paint of high solid content and high viscosity. ;SOLUTION: In the bell cup for a bell type rotary atomizing coater, the angle between the inner wall surface of the bell cup forming the vicinity of a peripheral edge of the bell cup to which paint is discharged and the plane of a circle formed by the peripheral edge is 45° or less. And, a paint of 65 wt.% or more solid content and of 100 sec or more viscosity by Ford cup No.4 at 20°C is applied by the bell type rotary atomizing coater provided with the bell cup.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
