PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize power supply failures in the recovery of the failure of a power distribution line. SOLUTION: This power distribution system failure recovery apparatus checks the overload condition of adjacent power distributing lines, after the switching of a load with a power distribution line overload discriminating means 16, when a plurality of branching section groups are switched for the load to the same adjacent power distributing line and also determines the branching section groups for the switching over, depending on the priority of the section with a priority discriminating means 17, when all the branching section groups cannot be switched over.
