PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening civil engineering construction method which can enable an existing civil engineering structure to promote the breeding of living things, provide a civil engineering structure which promotes the breeding of living things and provide a slope protection wall which promotes drainage and the breeding of living things. ;SOLUTION: Water retentive material 41 is fixed on a slope face 33 to form a primer layer 35, pore forming material to be dissolved with nourishment material from which nourishment effective for breeding of living things to form fine pores is placed on the surface of the primer layer 35 to form an anti-falling layer 37, and a living thing breeding layer 39 mainly comprising coals and wood chips is provided on the surface of the anti-falling layer 37. A slope protection wall 31 thus becomes porous as a whole body, so that spring water or the like on the back is smoothly drained, spores, etc., easily breed on the living thing breeding layer, 39 forming a surface layer of it, effective nourishment is positively supplied from the anti-falling layer 37, and proper water content is stably supplied from the primary layer 35.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
