PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the remote control transmitter-receiver whose battery is replaced without taking much time even on the occurrence of a worn battery and to provide the medium that records a control program of a receiver side unit in the remote control transmitter-receiver. ;SOLUTION: A video deck 20 detects a remaining capacity of a battery 14a provided in a remote control transmitter 10 based on an output level of an infrared ray received from the remote control transmitter 10 and allows a television receiver 30 to display a worn battery alarm when the remaining capacity reaches a prescribed level or below. Thus, the user recognizes that the remaining capacity of the battery 14a is small and prepares a new battery for replacement before the battery 14a is completely worn out.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
