MECHANISM OF SAND BLOWING HOLE FOR SAND BLOWING CYLINDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the sand from spilling from a sand blowing-out cylinder after blowing out the molding sand with the directivity toward the tip direction of a blow head and crushing a ball of the molding sand and blowing in a mold by vertically boring plural slender holes which are nallow in the vertical direction and long in the side direction at the center part of a sand blowing-out plate and using them as the sand blowing holes. ;SOLUTION: The blowing head 4 is engaged with a guide plate 31 and lowered, and the sand blowing holes 3 are communicated with the slender hole 33 of the sand blowing-out plate 32. The molding sand in the sand blowing-out cylinder 11 is blown into the blow head 4 with compressed air and filled up into an upper molding flask 2. The molding sand is blown out with the directivity from the slender holes 33 of the sand blowing plate 32. The ball of the molding sand is crushed at the time of passing through the slender hole 33. At the time of completing the blowing of the molding sand, the blow head 4 is engaged with the guide plate 31 and elevated. Since the blowing hole 3 is closed with a guide plate 31, the molding sand is not spilled down from the blow head 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
