SIMPLIFIED CLOSING PLATE FOR SQUARE STEEL TUBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To close the end face opening of a steel tube easily and quickly by protruding hook springs supported on a journalling mechanism provided on a closing plate main body from corner sections, and hooking them on two corners of the square steel tube. ;SOLUTION: A square closing plate main body 2 having the outer periphery nearly matched with the opening of a square steel tube to close it is provided. A journalling piece 31 is fitted to the square closing plate main body 2 in the direction of one of two diagonal lines to form a journalling mechanism. Hook springs 4A having piano wires 40 are supported on the journalling mechanism and are protruded from a pair of corner sections on the diagonal line, and they are hooked on two corners on the diagonal line of the square steel tube in elastic contact with them. The closing plate main body 2 can be just fitted to the opening of the square steel tube, and an economical simplified closing plate 1X excellent in fitting force, fitting precision, stability and workability is obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
