PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dictionary of Chinese characters which can be conveniently used based on a new method for classification of Chinese characters and a method for classification of Chinese characters which can be utilized in the dictionary of Chinese characters, etc. ;SOLUTION: In this dictionary of Chinese characters, the Chinese characters are arranged by using classification numbers each consisting of numbers of three figures wherein a piece stroke with a wiring direction in the transverse direction from left to right in a Chinese character is defined as a first piece stroke and the number of the first piece strokes is made to be a first figure, and a piece stroke with writing directions other than the first piece stroke is defined as a second piece stroke and the number of the second piece stroke is made to be a second figure, and the number of crosssections wherein two piece strokes consisting of the first piece stroke or the second piece stroke cross is made to be a third figure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
