CONSTRUCTION OF BASE ISOLATION OF BUILDING USING LAMINATED RUBBER FOR BASE ISOLATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply the construction of base isolation of a building, in which a plurality of laminated rubbers for base isolation are disposed between a build ing upper structure and a building lower structure, easily even to a building having a height larger than a width and a depth such as a multistoried building preferably. ;SOLUTION: The constitution of base isolation of the building, in which a plurality of the laminated rubbers 16 for base isolation are arranged between a building upper structure 14 and a building lower structure 12, has a plurality of load loading devices 18 disposed around the building 10. The load loading devices 18 are composed of tensile-force generating mechanisms 20 fixed to the building lower structure 12 and cables 22, in which one ends are connected to the building upper structure 14 and the other ends are coupled with the tensile-force generating mechanisms 20. A tensile force is given to the cables 22 as preload by the tensile-force generating mechanisms 20, and downward load in approximately vertical direction is loaded to the building upper structure 14 by a tensile force transmitted to the building upper structure 14 through the cables 22.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
