PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition excellent in flame retardancy and fuming suppressive activity, by including a bromine compound having a specific structure and tris(2-chloropropyl)phosphate. ;SOLUTION: This composition comprises 10-90 wt.%, preferably, 30-80 wt.% of a bromine compound [e.g. 2,2-bis(4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)-3,5-dibromophenyl) propane of the formula [A is 2,2-propylene, methylene, etc.; R is H or methyl; (n) and (m) are each 1-5] and 90-10 wt.%, preferably, 70-20 wt.% of tris(2- chloropropyl)phosphate. The composition is obtained by adding the bromine compound of the formula to tris(2-chloropropyl)phosphate heated to 20-150°C, stirring and dissoving the mixture for 1 hr.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
