PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice-melting dehydrating agent excellent in ice-melting and dehydrating performances by selecting, as the agent, an organosilicon compd. having a polyethyleneoxy group and nonhydrolyzable org. groups in the molecule and to provide a compsn. excellent in ice-melting, dehydrating, and refrigerant performances by incorporating the organosilicon compd. into a refrigerant or a lubricant. ;SOLUTION: This ice-melting dehydrating agent is a liq. organosilicon compd. of the formula (R1 is a 2-6C monovalent hydrocarbon group: R2 is a 3-6C divalent hydrocarbon group; R3 is a 1-6C monovalent hydrocarbon group; R4 is a 1-4C monovalent hydrocarbon group; a is 0 or 1; b is 1 or 2; m is 0-10; and n is 3-10) having at least one polyoxyethylene group and two nonhydrolyzable org. groups and has ice-melting and dehydrating performances. This organosilicon compd. in an amt. of 10-50 wt.ppm (based on the refrigerant and the lubricant) is incorporated into a refrigerant and a lubricant so as to give an ice-melting dehydrating refrigerant compsn. wherein the wt. ratio of the lubricant to the refrigerant is (1/100)-(100/100).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
