PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject product capable of preventing the intertwinement among animal hairs and the occurrence of problems in contacting with human skins as well as to ensure the antimicrobial effect further, in relation to an animal hair fibrous product and such fancy goods as bedclothes using it, and a method for antimicrobial treatment of the animal hair fibrous product. ;SOLUTION: This animal hair fibrous product is obtained by roughenning the surface of animal hairs in which the skin tissue of each animal hair 1 is peeled off to cause unevenness 8 and then by building up chitosan 9 and collagen 10, both as natural anti-fungus agents, on the surface of the unevenness 8 to ensure the antimicrobial effect and prevent the product from shrinking itself in absorbing or containing moisture and from intertwining among animal hairs.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
