METHOD FOR UPDATING PATENT MANAGEMENT DATABASE, DATA MEDIUM AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically update a patent management database without omission by extracting new data from a CD-ROM which contains information about a patent application or a utility model registration application and adding it to the patent management database. SOLUTION: This method extracts data to be updated from a distribution destination database and produces a flexible disk 109 for updating by a data-to- be updated transfer function. For the production of a flexible disk of full text, it reads data such as a specification from a CD-ROM 21 and writes it on the disk 109, which is sent to a prescribed patent management device 5. When it is confirmed that the disk 109 is inserted, data of the disk 109 is read into a memory. Subsequently, data updating is performed. In the data updating, if data stored in the memory is appropriate, it updates a patent management database according to a prescribed procedure.
