PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable simultaneous detection of the stream of blood very low in velocity by sufficiently and accurately removing a clutter component regardless of the substantial quantity of the motion of an organ despite a situation of making the effect of a signal value of a blood stream non negligible as compared to the clutter component, for example, in a case of imaging a blood vessel system in a sufficiently large intracardiac lumen or the like as compared with the width of an ultrasonic beam and a blood vessel system having a contrast medium injected thereinto. ;SOLUTION: An LPF 45j is provided to previously remove a signal component large in time series fluctuation from a Doppler signal, means 45a, 45b, 45e, 45f, 45h and 45k-45m to determine information pertaining to the removal of a clutter component using the Doppler signal cleared of the signal component by the LPF, means 45c, 45d, 45g and 45i to remove the clutter component from the Doppler signal based on the information and a means to extract the information on the blood stream in a section using the Doppler signal obtained by the removal by the means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
