MULTI-STAGE VAPOR-LIQUID SEPARATION TYPE CONDENSER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a discharged refrigerant in a liquid phase state by flowing a refrigerant condensed through a pass between a header and a receiver and separating the refrigerant into a vapor phase and a liquid phase again in the receiver. ;SOLUTION: Between a first header 32 and a second header 34 of a vapor- liquid separation type condenser 30 are arranged mutually in a row a number of flat tubes 36 and the like, and both ends thereof are linked to a header and the like via a slot and the like. Between the flat tubes 36 and the like are interposed a number of corrugated fins 38, and a receiver 40 is provided in the second header 34. Further, the condenser 30 contains a pair of side plates 70 arranged in an outermost housing, and both ends of the second header 34 are sealed by a blind cap 68. A partition 42 and the like is arranged in the first and second headers 32 and 34 so as to form a number of refrigerant passes according to the relation with the flat tube 36 and the like. As a result, a vapor- liquid phase of a refrigerant flowing through the condenser 30 is firstly separated in the header, and it becomes possible to perform a secondary phase separation by the receiver 40.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
