PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silver halide color photosensitive material which vividly reproduces the green of trees, clearly reproduces a scene in the distance, really reproduces a sky blue and the blue of the sea and is excellent in ability to depict the shading of a red flower and in low-lightness flesh color reproducibility by forming a non-visible light sensitive color reproduction improving layer. ;SOLUTION: The silver halide color photosensitive material has a non-visible light sensitive color reproduction improving layer. This color reproduction improving layer is a silver halide emulsion layer having sensitivity to light whose wavelength is not in the range of 400-700 nm which is a visible region and the color reproduction improving layer is preferably positioned closer to the substrate than a green-sensitive layer. The photosensitive material may have a non-visible light sensitive color reproduction improving layer forming a visible image. This color reproduction improving layer has a silver halide emulsion layer having sensitivity to light other than visible light and the silver halide emulsion layer is exposed and imagewise forms a color having absorption in a visible region.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
