ABSORBER FOR AIR-COOLED ABSORPTION TYPE REFRIGERATING UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a lowering of manufacturing costs by simplifying a joint structure of a shell body for an absorber and a communication pipe in an absorber for an air-cooled absorption type refrigerating unit. SOLUTION: An upper end surface 22c of a communication pipe 22 is arranged to abut a bottom surface 52a of a shell body 52 for an absorber in such a manner that an absorbing liquid flowing down hole 18 provided in the bottom surface 52a faces the interior thereof while being securely joined by resistance welding. The joint structure thus obtained eliminates the need for a relatively costly silver solder material as required by the conventional structure using the silver soldering. Moreover, there is no need for the work of removing a flux or the like as post treatment or the work of removing thermal distortion attributed to a difference in heat capacity during the joining period. This simplifies the working of joining the communication pipe 22 on the bottom surface 52a of the shell body 52 for the absorber, ultimately enabling a lowering of manufacturing cost in the production of the absorber.
