PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent desired wave versus interference wave ratio in the case that a spread spectrum signal sent from a sender is received via a multi-path transmission line. SOLUTION: The RAKE receiver is provided with a weighting coefficient arithmetic circuit 9, the arithmetic circuit 9 obtains signal power from a reception amplitude of its own path detected by a transmission line characteristic detection circuit 7a for each path, interference wave power is obtained by the reception amplitude of two other paths detected by transmission line characteristic detection circuits 7b, 7c, and weighting coefficients w1, w2, w3 are respectively calculated based on the signal power and the interference wave power. Then the calculated weighting coefficients w1, w2, w3 are given respectively to multipliers 6a, 6b, 6c, a reception signal of each path is weighted and a symbol synthesizer 8 synthesizes symbols.
