PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for execution of a large number of hoops, etc., for preventing buckling by compressive force, and to ensure high hysteretic damping even in a material displaying slip type hysteresis. ;SOLUTION: The high hysteretic damping type concrete reinforcing material 1 consists of a hysteretic damping material 2 having specified elasto-plastic hysteretic characteristics and being arranged into concrete under the state, in which the hysteretic damping material 2 is not attached to concrete, and a plastic-deformation absorbing mechanism 3 connected to the hysteretic damping material. The plastic-deformation absorbing mechanism permits movement in the inserting direction of the hysteretic damping material 2 while constraining movement in the extracting direction of the hysteretic damping material 2 at that time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
