PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target assembly, which are improved in heat dissipation from a target for a linear accelerator X-ray device, and its heat dissipation method. ;SOLUTION: A linear accelerator X-ray target assembly contains an electron beam to generate a X-ray in contact with a X-ray target 62. The target 62 is mounted to be freely rotatable around the axis of the target 62. The target has a rough outside end face around the axis. The flow of fluid colliding with the rough outside end face around the axis of the target 62 gives passive rotating motion to the target 62.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
