PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting method for the clamped state of a clamping- type current sensor, in which the clamped state of the clamping-type current sensor can be confirmed simply, regardless of the existence of a current to be detected and in which a detection mistake can be reduced. SOLUTION: In a method, magnetic circuits 11 to 16 are clamped to a cable in which a current to be detected flows, and the clamped state of clamping-type current sensors 1 to 6 used to detect the current to be detected is detected. In the method, auxiliary windings 71 to 76 are wound on the magnetic circuits 11 to 16, a current is supplied to the auxiliart windings 71 to 76, and the clamped state of the cable to the current sensors 1 to 6 is detected on the basis of output signals of the current sensors 1 to 6.
