PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display method to users for easily and understandably presenting display obtained by combining version information with constitution information. SOLUTION: Each time a document or a program source or the like is edited, version information such as a version name or a preparation date is stored in a storage device, and the constitution information of a project being plural documents or the group of program sources is stored in the storage device. The version information and the constitution information are read from the storage device, and the information of constituting elements such as the documents or the program sources constituting the project is arranged in a vertical direction, and the version information of those elements is arranged in a horizontal direction with the preparation date as a reference so that display can be second-dimensionally executed as shown in a figure. In the figure, V1, V2, V3,... indicate the versions.
