PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-demand system capable of automatically controlling the power on/off of an on-demand server according to the number of active terminals. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a center device 100 having plural terminals 10-1-10-n, plural on-demand servers 40-1-40-m, and a request control unit 50. The center device 100 is provided with a power control unit 30 for controlling the power on/off of the on-demand servers 40-1-40-m according to the number of the active terminals 10-1-10-n. The power control unit 30 is provided with a counter for counting the number of the active terminals 10-1-10-n, and a power control part for comparing the count value with a threshold value corresponding to the number of the active terminals 10-1-10-n and the number of the necessary on-demand servers 40-1-40-m, supplying a power to the on- demand servers 40-1-40-m which should be activated again, and stopping power supply to the on-demand servers whose activation should be stopped.
