PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve curling machining where stainless steel is combined with ceramics, to manufacture a product with superior corrosion resistance, to endure impact force due to the repetitive inverse motion of bimetal, and to eliminate the aging of dimensions for positively maintaining characteristics. ;SOLUTION: A sensor has a metal case 1 and a metal cap 2, and the opening end part of the cap 2 is sealed to the case. At the same time, the case 1 is provided with bimetal, a switch mechanism being driven by the inverse motion of the bimetal, and a ceramic case that supports the bimetal and at the same time has the switch mechanism. In this case, the cap 2 has a thin plate part 11 where plate thickness is thinned as compared with the other parts at the opening end part, and the thin plate part 11 is caulked for sealing to the case. Also, the cap 2 is constituted by stainless steel, and the plate thickness of the thin plate part 11 is set to 0.2 mm or less.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
