PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape carrier package and a tape type tape carrier package not having a projection section at an outer edge thereof and capable of effectively performing a mounting operation. ;SOLUTION: This tape carrier package 10 is punched out from a tape type tape carrier package by cutting a connection section 23 between adjacent slits along the slits formed intermittently beforehand. As an outer edge 25 of the connection section formed by cutting the connection section 23 is positioned at an inner side rather than an outer edge of the slit formed by a main part of an inner edge of at least one of the slits adjacent to the connection section 23, a projection section is not formed at the outside of the outer edge of the tape carrier package.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
