WIRE COVERING LAYER REMOVING TOOL AND WIRE COVERING LAYER REMOVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire covering layer removing tool and a wire covering removing method by which a covering layer with a constant length can be removed from the end of a wire. ;SOLUTION: A scissors-type wire covering layer removing tool has a pair of wire holding parts which are provided at the frontmost position so as to be close to each other horizontally and handle parts 11 and 21 which consist of two swinging levers 1 and 2 and is provided at a rearmost position. The middle parts of the two swinging levers 1 and 2 are attached to shafts. If the handle parts 11 and 21 of the two swinging levers 1 and 2 are grasped to reduce a distance between the handle parts 11 and 21, the distance between the pair of horizontally provided wire holding parts is reduced and, at the same time, the rear side wire holding part is transferred backward from the front side wire holding part. Wire end position defining stoppers 76 and 72 against which the end of a wire whose covering layer is to be removed is pressed are provided on the rear side wire holding part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
