MANUFACTURE OF GOURD MUSICAL INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reinforcing gourds when beating, striking, and strumming musical instruments are made using gourds which greatly vary in mechanical and physical properties depending on their growth and a method for assembling musical instruments using gourds and bamboo. SOLUTION: A fluidized cement paste prepared by kneading a composition consisting of cement, fine quartz sand, a cement fluidizer, a polymer emulsion, and water is packed into a gourd and a high-strength cement hardened cover layer 2 having a uniform thickness and a smooth surface is formed therein, the upper surface of the layer 2 being paint finished. Bamboo is used as the support of a beating musical instrument.
