PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the destruction of a data base and the trouble of a job owing to the difference of a schema generation in a system where the content of a data base is changed by means of an application program. SOLUTION: A computer system 20 where the method is executed is provided with a means 102 which previously extracts the generation of a program and that of a schema from the program which a program designer generates and registers them in a table 112, a means 103 extracting the generations of the program and the schema, which are loaded into a memory 110, from files 30 and 40 and registering them in a table 113 when the system starts and a means 101 checking the matching of the generation by the tables 112 and 113 when the program is started and abnormality-terminating the start of the program when they are not matched. The means 101 registers the check state of the program which is started at the beginning in a table 111 and omits the check of the generation after the program.
