PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to produce liquid aluminum sulfate by treating waste liquid essentially comprising hydrochloric acid and contaminated with aluminum and the waste liquid essentially comprising sulfuric acid in a series of processes. ;SOLUTION: After a waste liquid of hydrochloric acid in which aluminum is dissolved is concentrated by vaporization, the waste liquid is mixed with a waste liquid of sulfuric acid in which aluminum is dissolved. Further, concentrated sulfuric acid is mixed to the mixture liquid, and the mixture liquid with concentrated sulfuric acid is concentrated by vaporization to recover hydrochloric acid of low concn. as well as to collect concentrated liquid of aluminum sulfate. The obtd. concentrated aluminum sulfate liquid is diluted to prepare liquid aluminum sulfate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
