PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas velocity control method of a vapor phase polymn. vessel which can steadily control the gas linear velocity for a long time without using a differential pressure flow meter and steadily measure the recycle gas quantity for a long time with high precision. ;SOLUTION: This gas phase olefin polymn. device comprises an olefin polymn. device using a fluidized bed vapor phase polymn. reactor 1 containing a solid catalyst component, a recycle device, including 8 and 11, which recycles the gas contg. a polymn. component taken out of the deceleration region 7 in the upper part of the fluidized bed vapor phase polymn. reactor as a recycle gas to the fluidized bed vapor phase polymn. reactor 1, and a supply device 9 which newly supply the olefin to the fluidized bed vapor phase polymn. reactor 1. In this case, an ultrasonic flow meter 13 is equipped on the recycle device and this ultrasonic flow meter 13 measures the recycle quantity of the polymn. component contg. gas and control the rate of the gas forming the fluidized region 3 in the fluidized bed gas phase polymn. reactor 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
