PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support the optimization of a distribution of property values of components of electric equipment. ;SOLUTION: A target electromagnetic field distribution and a design evaluation function are received by an input/output process part 520 and an electromagnetic field distribution calculation part 540 finds an electromagnetic field distribution of a parameter distribution including at least one kind of decision parameter distribution. A parameter distribution optimization part 560 improves the decision parameter distribution so that the difference distribution between the found electromagnetic field distribution and target electromagnetic field distribution becomes minimum and when the value of the design evaluation function meets convergence conditions, the decision parameter distribution is displayed by the input/output part 520, but when not, the improved decision parameter is sent to the electromagnetic field distribution calculation part 540 to repeat the process.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
