PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a suspension bridge cable without splashing an anticorrosive paint to the surrounding by covering the suspension bridge cable with a shielding material, fitting a tubular cover holding a gap, filling and hardening an anticorrosive resin into the gap, and removing the tubular cover to form an anticorrosive layer. ;SOLUTION: The hook section 21 of a wrapping wire is wound on the surface of a suspension bridge cable 1, then a tubular cover 5 of a zinc-plated sheet is fitted to the surface of the cable 1. Hook sections in the peripheral direction of the side ends of the tubular cover 5 are closely sealed by clamps. A two- liquid hardening type urethane resin coating material is injected into a gap 6, and the tubular cover 5 is removed after curing and hardening. The coated external appearance of the cable 1 is improved, and a defect impairing the coating characteristic is not noticed. Anticorrosive coating excellent in longterm durability can be executed in a less process with good workability without splashing an anticorrosive paint to the surrounding.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
