PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and efficiently acquire the propagation data of cracks in a rotary body. ;SOLUTION: In a method for acquiring propagation data of cracks in rotary body, a starter notch 11 is formed on a rotary body 6 and, after an initial crack is caused in the rotary body 6 continuously from the notch 11 by repetitively applying a compressive load to the body 6 by setting the body 6 on a compression tester, rotation tests are conducted on the body 6 by setting the body 6 on a rotary tester. During the rotation tests, the rotary body 6 is periodically removed from the rotary tester and set on a compression tester. When the body 6 is set on the compression tester, the compressive load is applied to the body 6 so as to expand the crack and the length of the crack is measured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
