PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound, capable of manifesting disease injury controlling effects on various disease injuries such as gray mold, powdery mildew or blast of rice plants with one chemical and exhibiting the effects in a low dose, excellent in residual effects, having the effects even on germs resistant to the existing chemical and safe for crops. ;SOLUTION: This compound is represented by formula I [A is H or methyl; B is methyl or ethyl; Het is a heterocyclic group represented by formula II (R1 is trifluoromethyl or difluoromethyl) or formula III (R2 is trifluoromethyl, difluoromethyl or methyl)] and having an alkyl group, branched at the γ-position and substituted at the 2-position with respect to the amino group on the aniline ring, e.g. N-{2-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)phenyl}-2,4-dimethylthiazole-5-carboxamide. The compound represented by formula I is obtained by reacting, e.g. substituted anilines represented by formula IV with carboxylic acid halides represented by formula V (Z is a halogen) in the presence of a base.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
