PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve work environment by applying the constitution that a collar having a joint means is preliminarily secured to the end of a steel pipe pile, and collared steel pipe piles so formed are carried to a work space under a building and driven into a subsoil in such a state as being jointed each other with the collars. ;SOLUTION: A collar 2 made of metal such as a steel plate is welded to one end of a steel pipe pile 10, and a jointing flange 3 is welded to the other end thereof. The collar 2 is a circular or square flat plate body and the center thereof is formed to have a through-hole for inserting a steel pipe. Also, through- holes 2b as jointing means for the collar 2 are formed at equal intervals around the center through-hole. A collared steel pipe pile 1 with the collar 2 secured to the end of the steel pipe pile 10 at a factory of the like is carried to a construction site, and further carried into work space under a building foundation. Then, the collar 2 and the collar 2 of the next-stage collared steel pipe pile 1 are connected with bolts and nuts. A reaction force is taken from the lower surface of the building foundation, and the collared steel pipe pile 1 is pushed into a subsoil by use of a jack.
