PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove and disinfect Cryptosporidium parasites and to prevent running water from being contaminated with Cryptosporidium parasites. ;SOLUTION: This treatment comprises transferring waste water produced in a water treatment plant, from a water treatment system A to a waste water treatment system B for treating the waste water; subjecting concentrated sludge to heat treatment by heating means 12 at ≥60°C with a ≥30 min residence time; then, subjecting the treated sludge to dehydration treatment with a dehydrator 14; transfer, finally discharging the resulting dehydrated cake 16 to the outside of the water treatment plant; on the other hand, passing waste water 20 discharged from a water filtration equipment 19, together with the supernatant liquid in a concentration vessel 4, through a membrane filtration device 8 capable of removing Cryptosporidium parasites; and returning membrane filtrate water to the original stream of the drinking water treatment system A.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
