PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a translated word together with item information while classifying it by display items only by selecting the display item by reading word, word string, translated word and item information out of a translated word memory in which the translated words of a translation sentence are stored while being classified based on the set display items. SOLUTION: A main CPU 10 reads a translation device control program stored in a storage medium 11a and installs it into a main memory 3 so as to be functioned as a morpheme analytic part 5 and a translation processing part 7 or the like. While referring to the main memory 3, the morpheme analytic part 5 divides the sentence to be translated inputted from an input device 1 into respective words and word strings and performs morpheme analysis. Based on this morpheme, the translation processing part 7 translates the sentence to be translated and displays a translated sentence on a display device 2. In this case, the translated words of the translated sentences are classified based on the set display items by a translated word classification processing part and based on the display item selected by a display selection processing part 91, the word, word string, translated word and item information stored in a translated word memory 4d is read out and displayed on the window picture on the display device 2.
