PURPOSE: To observe a hardly accessible area by forming a preliminary die for an inspecting surface by use of a middle precision elastomer material, pouring a high precision elastomer material to a hardened support die to form an impression element, bringing it onto the inspecting surface followed by holding for a fixed time, and then peeling it. ;CONSTITUTION: So as to provide a support die after hardening, a preliminary die for an inspecting surface is formed by use of a pasted middle precision elastomer material followed by hardening, the preliminary die is removed, and the surface is degreased with acetone. A high precision elastomer material is poured into the resulting support die to form an impression element, the element is brought into contact with a surface to be duplicated, lightly pressed for several minutes, held in this state only for a necessary time, and the element is then removed. This is inspected and measured by a surface section measuring device or binocular microscope, or the like, whereby precise and faithful information can be provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
