HANG-UP ELECTROMAGNET WITH FUNCTION TO RETAIN HANG-UP ATTITUDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hang-up electromagnet which can work well with varying configuration of shape steels, can work well with varying spacing of steel shapes being installed, and has a function to hold the hung-up attitude of the shape steel. ;SOLUTION: A hang-up electromagnet 10 is equipped with a yoke 13 and magnetic poles 11a, 11b, 12, and a coil 14 for energization, whereby one or more shape steels desired are hung up by energizing the magnetic poles 11a, 11b, 12 by the coil 14, wherein a removable attachment 1 is furnished as formed to suit the configuration of the applicable shape steel. If a non-magnetic material such as stainless steel is used to form such an attachment 1, it will not be magnetized even when the magnetic poles 11a, 11b, 12 of the hang-up electromagnet 10 are magnetized, so that it is possible to preclude the attracting force of the magnetic pole from dropping even in case the attachment 1 is, for example, mounted on the inside of the outer pole 11a of the hang-up electromagnet 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
