PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a ferritic stainless steel sheet in which the generation of roping at the time of cold rolling is prevented. ;SOLUTION: The componental compsn. in the steel sheet is composed of, by mass, 0.01 to 0.10% C, 0.005 to 0.025% N, 0.05 to 0.20% Ni, 0.05 to 0.50% Mn, 13 to 18% Cr, 0.10 to 0.50% Si, 0.03 to 0.20% Al, 30 to 100 ppm B, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and γp shown by the formula: γp=420 C+470N+23Ni+7Mn-11.5Cr-11.5Si-52Al-600B+189 is regulated to 15 to 35%. The heating temp. in hot rolling is regulated to 1100 to 1250°C, the rolling temp. in finish rolling after rough rolling is regulated to ≥900°C, it is held for ≥2 sec after the finish rolling, is thereafter water-cooled and is coiled at 450 to 600°C, the both edge parts of the th hot rolled sheet are cut at 15 to 25% clearance, and after that, without executing hot rolled sheet annealing, it is subjected to cold rolling, annealing and skinpass rolling.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
