PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a purification capacity by enabling a contact material to be simply manufactured at low cost by a method wherein semicarbonized bamboo pieces cut to an appropriate size are used as a contact material member, and contact materials of a porous block like body of organic material which are piled up at random inside an aeration convection tank are used. SOLUTION: A contact material 10 is constituted wherein many semicarbonized bamboo pieces 15, 16 of various sizes and various shapes are thrown down at random on a luggage rack shaped contact material support rack installed at a bottom part of an aeration convection tank, and piled up unit a shape of an aggregate is along an inner sectional shape of the aeration convection tank and its thickness becomes a little shorter than a length of an aeration cylinder. Since the contact material 10 being the aggregate of the semicarbonized bamboo piece constituted thus is a porous block like body wherein, so to speak, large and small various many holes are formed vertically and horizontally, the wastewater can flow inside without being retarded. A contact aeration type wastewater private sewerage system for which such the contact material 10 is used, is high in purification capacity, and almost free from generation of excess sludge and abrasion sludge.
