METHOD FOR ADJUSTING CLEARANCE OF DIE, AND PUNCHING DIE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the clearance of a die without disassembling the die so as to easily perform the adjustment in a short time by moving an adjusting tool in parallel with the moving direction of a punch so as to displace a die. ;SOLUTION: Movable spacers 19a, 19b, which are formed with an inclined surface 27 at the same degree with the outside inclined surface 26 of a die 15, as adjusting tools for adjusting a clearance between a punch 12 and a die 15 are tightly arranged so as to abut on the outside inclined surface 26 of the die 15 at symmetrical positions. At the time of punching, when the punch 12 is lowered, horizontal force is applied to the die 15 through a work, besides the vertical force. The vertical force applied to the die 15 is received by the die 15 and a holder 16 of a lower mold 11, which is designed so as to have the sufficient strength to receive the vertical force. The horizontal force applied to the die 15 is received by a lower mold die holder 16, which has the sufficient strength, through the movable spacers 19a, 19b.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
