PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument that can deal with the weight regulation on expressways and the like flexibly and quickly, and can prevent the various accidents that can occur during the stopping or running of a vehicle beforehand, by measuring and displaying the excessive live load and the bias of the load with a weight measuring means provided on the pallet of the vehicle so that the means can be attached and removed and detecting, displaying and reporting the overweight load and the biased loading without troublesome procedure for visiting the specified facility such as a measuring place. ;SOLUTION: This measuring instrument has a load accepting stage, which is mounted on a pallet 1 of a vehicle so that the stage can be attached and removed and has specified dimensions or variable dimensions, a plurality of sensors 16, which are attached to the load accepting stage and senses the components of the load mounted on the load accepting stage, and a computing mechanism, which computes the total live load and/or the bias of the live load from the components sensed by a plurality of the sensors and displays the result and/or issuing the alarm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
