PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent marine organism from adhering to a float bottom to prevent corrosion and to easily flatten the upper side of a float, by placing partitions extending downward cross each other longitudinally and transversely on the bottom surface of the box-shaped float floating on oceans, and blocking and forming air layer under the float surrounded by the partitions. ;SOLUTION: A float 2 is placed upside down, partitions 3 are crossed in the grid shape on the bottom surface 5 of the upper side, and especially central part of the float 2 where load is increased is formed long and is mounted so that the part's air layer 4 is thick. A ballast is extended on the float 2, head and ail are returned, and equipment such as deck composition on an upper surface 7 is performed. Then, by releasing adjusting hole 6 at a position with a given thickness of the air layer 4, and arranging air hose or others under the air layer 4 in water, air is sent. The air layer 4 formed under the float 2 eliminates contact of the bottom surface of the float 2 with water and prevents marine organism from adhering to the bottom surface 5 to prevent steel plate's corrosion from occurring and developing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
