PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To force-fit a fin by a relatively small load and moreover to improve fixing strength by obtaining a large fillet at the time of brazing after force- fitting. ;SOLUTION: Only one fin is taken out of a magazine 20 housing many fins 10 with a fin transferring body 38 and transferred, and the transferring fin is butted to a fin stopper and stopped at the intermediate position. Under this state, the tip end of the fin is worked into projecting and recessing parts with a punch and a female die, the fin is further transferred with the fin transferring body, and the worked projecting and recessing parts of the tip end of the fin are force-fitted into the groove of a base plate 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
