PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method for imparting texture information having more reality to a three-dimensional stereoscopic model obtained by photographing a real object. ;SOLUTION: The three-dimensional stereoscopic model is expressed by a polygon based on plural pieces of object image information obtained by picking up the actual object by rotating it by every optional angle. The texture information is imparted from the object image information in which the polygon has the largest projection area to respective polygons. In order to improve color continuity between the adjacent polygons, the object image information to be made to correspond to an attentional polygon and an adjacent polygon is selected so as to obtain the object image information approximate in photographing position and photographing direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
