PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically decide an odd sum processing matched with a tax list only by inputting only one part of the described contents of the tax list in which the sum range of an object to be taxed is divided for each tax as it is for operating the tax calculation of the sales sum of the object to be taxed ×a taxing rate. ;SOLUTION: When an FROM value(lower limit value), TO value(upper limit value), and TAX value(tax) defined in a tax list are inputted for the prescribed number from an inputting device 5, a CPU 1 successively operates the calculation of the FROM value × a taxing rate, and the TO value × the taxing rate, operates a prescribed comparison arithmetic operation based on the calculated result and the input TAX value, and judges what kind of odd sum processing should be operated to the calculated result for making it adaptable to the input TAX value. Thus, when the successively judged kinds of odd sum processing are continuously the same, it is judged that the following kinds are the same, and the kind of the odd sum processing is decided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
