PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sort a readable slip and an unreadable slip, and to make this mechanism compact by activating a guide plate at the time of ejecting paper sheets which can not be read to a stacker part, and shifting it from the other paper sheets to a direction horizontal to the paper ejecting direction only in a prescribed distance. SOLUTION: After a reading operation is ended, a readable slip 100 is ejected along a slip guide 15 to a stacker part 14 while a guide plate 13 is not operated. In the case of a reading error slip or an unreadable slip 101, the guide plate 13 attached to the slip guide 15 side of a paper ejecting part is activated at a position separated from the slip guide 15, and the paper ejecting direction of the reading error slip or the unreadable slip 101 is separated a little from the slip guide 15, and they are ejected to the stacker 14 in an offset state. Thus, the unreadable slip can be sorted by providing only one stacker part 14 for ejecting the slip.
