PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and easily perform a glide inspection of a magnetic disk. ;SOLUTION: This slider 10 is provided with a slider structure body 14 having an air holding surface 12, MR element 16 varying electric resistance according to temperature, a heat conductive film 18 closely adjoined to the MR element 16 and provided on the air holding surface 12. Frictional heat caused by the slider 10 and the ruggedness on the surface of the disk surface is efficiently conducted to the MR element 16 via the heat conductive film 18, and thus even the frictional heat caused by the fine projections can accurately be detected by the MR element 16.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
