摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a cutting tool made of a surface coated (Ti, M) CNBO base cermet excellent in the adhesion of a hard coated layer. ;CONSTITUTION: The objective cutting tool is constituted of a substrate of a (Ti, M) CNBO base cermet having a compsn. contg., by weight, 70 to 95% hard dispersed phase essentially consisting of (Ti, M) CNBO contg. 0.2 to 4% B and 0.2 to 2% oxygen, and the balance bonding phase essentially consisting of one or two kinds of Co and Ni and a hard coated layer formed on the surface of the substrate by 0.5 to 20μm average layer thickness and constituted of one kind of single layer or multiple layers of ≥ two kinds among TiC, TiN, TiB₂ and TiO₂ as well as their solid solution of ≥ two kinds and Al₂O₃.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
