PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide real effect information at a high speed by combining pluralities of means with respect to the technology that decides real effect information related actually from cause information produced in a multiplexer having a function of multiplexing service channels and a redundancy function. ;SOLUTION: This real effect information decision support device is provided with an information entry section 4 that receives cause information and effect information collected with respect to elements of a network of a multiplex layer configuration, a storage section 63 that stores hierarchical data relating elements of the network of the multiplex layer configuration and a processing section 7 that extracts effect information received by the information entry section 4 to decide the real effect information actually in relation to the cause information by retrieving the hierarchical data of the storage section 63 based on the cause information entered to the information entry section 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
